Black Friday is Nov 27, 2026 and Cyber Monday Nov 30, 2026. Last year Apple did not cut iPhone prices: it gave an Apple Gift Card of up to $75 with older models and left the newest iPhones out. The real discounts come from carriers, as bill credits, and they have started early: AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile already take up to $1,200 off iPhone 18 Pro with a trade-in. What a "free iPhone" really costs.

Most of the big Black Friday iPhone deals in the US are carrier deals. The phone is not discounted at the till: you pay it off, or the carrier credits you the monthly instalment, for 36 months, usually on one of its more expensive unlimited plans. Leave early and the remaining balance becomes due. This is what that means for each iPhone.

Before you take one, add up the plan: if the deal needs a plan that costs $20 a month more than the one you have, that is $720 over 36 months, which can be more than the phone. An unlocked iPhone from Apple or a retailer costs more on the day but lets you keep a cheaper plan or switch carrier.

Is Black Friday a good time to buy an iPhone?

Apple's own offer is a gift card, not a discount: see Apple Black Friday for last year's full list.

  • Through a carrier: yes. Trade-in values and bill credits are at their highest of the year from the week before Thanksgiving into December.
  • Last year's model: yes. Retailers cut older iPhones the most, and in 2025 Apple's own gift card only covered the older models.
  • The newest iPhone, unlocked: not much. Apple left its newest line out of the 2025 offer, so expect little or nothing off iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, iPhone Duo.
  • Waiting for something new? Apple's next iPhones are not due until next year, so there is no new model to wait for this winter.

Does Apple have Black Friday deals on iPhones?
Not price cuts. In 2025 Apple ran a shopping event from Nov 28, 2025 to Dec 1, 2025 that gave an Apple Gift Card with a purchase: $75 with iPhone 16, $75 with iPhone 16 Plus, $50 with iPhone 16e. iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, iPhone Air were left out. Apple had not announced its 2026 offer when we checked on Oct 30, 2026.
Is Black Friday a good time to buy an iPhone?
Yes if you buy through a US carrier or want last year's model: carriers raise trade-in values and bill credits for Black Friday, and retailers cut older models. If you want the newest iPhone unlocked from Apple, Black Friday saves little, because Apple left its newest line out of the 2025 offer.
