About

Measured, not guessed.

Compare iPhones is an independent site for one job: helping you see how iPhones differ, by drawing them to scale and putting their figures side by side. It covers 34 models, from iPhone 11 to iPhone Duo.

Where the numbers come from. Every dimension, weight, display, chip and battery figure comes from Apple's published technical specifications for that model; each model page links its source. Prices are Apple's US starting prices on apple.com, and every page says when they were last checked.

How the drawings work. Phones are drawn from Apple's height and width in millimetres, all at the same scale, so what you see side by side is the real difference. Camera bumps are not included, because Apple's figures leave them out too. Screen colours stand in for one of each model's finishes and are approximate.

What we leave out. We don't publish benchmark scores, camera sample ratings or rumours about unreleased models. Those depend on who ran the test; Apple's own specifications don't, which makes them the fairest basis for comparing one iPhone with another.

How often it's updated. We check Apple's pages when a new iPhone is announced, when Apple changes its lineup or prices, and at least once a month. Every page shows the date its figures were last checked, and each model page links the exact Apple page they came from.
