How big is iPhone 16, really?
Of the 34 iPhones on this site, iPhone 16 is the 16th smallest by the size of its front (147.6 × 71.6 mm), the 9th lightest at 170 g, and has the 19th largest screen at 6.1 inches. That puts it in the middle of the range, the size most iPhones have been since 2020.
Its 6.1-inch display is about 64.9 × 140.7 mm (worked out from the diagonal and its 2556 × 1179 pixel grid), so the screen covers roughly 86% of the front. The front camera and Face ID sensors sit in the Dynamic Island, a pill-shaped cut-out that also shows live activity. At 460 pixels per inch, individual pixels are not visible at a normal viewing distance.
Against iPhone 15 (2023), the model it followed, the body is almost unchanged, the chip moves from A16 Bionic to A18, and Apple's video playback rating rises from 20 to 22 hours.
