What case fits iPhone 16e?
Buy a case that explicitly lists iPhone 16e. Its body matches iPhone 14 on three headline measurements, but those numbers cannot certify camera, button or connector fit.

The quickest compatibility check
Apple’s iPhone 16e Silicone Case lists iPhone 16e in its compatibility section. That is a concrete example of model-specific support, not a ranking of third-party cases. For another brand, find its exact product page and model list before buying.
Keep the suffix: “16”, “16e”, “16 Pro” and “16 Plus” are different models. A store filter saying “6.1-inch iPhone” is not enough. Also distinguish a phone case from a screen protector: each needs its own compatibility check.

Can an iPhone 14 case work?
The matching envelope explains why an old case may look plausible. Yet Apple lists a single rear Fusion camera, Action button and USB-C connector on iPhone 16e; iPhone 14 has two rear cameras, a Ring/Silent switch and Lightning. An opening around a switch and a cover designed to press a button solve different problems. An oversized camera opening may leave a different area exposed.
Our buying recommendation is conditional: use an older case only if that case’s manufacturer explicitly supports iPhone 16e, or you can check the exact fit before relying on it. We have not fitted either phone into a case, tested drops, or measured a case’s internal clearances. We do not label every iPhone 14 case compatible or incompatible.

Check magnetic claims separately
Apple specifies Qi wireless charging for iPhone 16e. A magnetic ring in a case may help an accessory attach; it does not turn the phone into a different charging system. Check the phone, case and charger together. Do not read “magnetic” on a listing as a promise of a particular charging speed.

- Confirm the exact model in Settings → General → About, then match the manufacturer’s model list.
- Check that buttons work without constant pressure, camera and flash are clear, and the charging cable seats fully.
- Check the screen and camera edges remain protected as the maker describes, without forcing the phone into place.
- Test your own charger and accessories and retain a return option if the fit is uncertain.
